Fortaleza de Santo António do Beliche

Built to protect Beliche's tuna fishing trap from pirate attacks, it houses a cubic chapel dedicated to Saint Catherine, in the style of ancient marabouts. It suffered serious damage during the attack by privateer Francis Drake in 1587 and the earthquake of 1755.
