Cape St. Vincent Fortress

Built in the 16th century to protect the coast from pirate attacks, on the site where legend has it an ancient convent guarded the remains of Saint Vincent. Inside, since 1904, a lighthouse has been operating, which still guides ships today at the southwesternmost point of continental Europe.
