Famous for its versatile waves, Praia do Amado hosts national and international surf championships and always has surf schools on the sand. Nevertheless, just walk a little along the sandy beach — which stretches across three valleys — to find a quiet spot, or follow the walkways to the curious Zimbreirinha fishing shelter, where boats hang suspended from the cliff.
