Stretching over 3 kilometers of sand, it is one of the largest beaches in the Algarve — and one of the wildest, with dunes extending towards Carrapateira and a lagoon where otters can still be seen near the river mouth. A network of boardwalks leads to viewpoints overlooking this vast expanse.
