Beliche Dam

The dam retains water from the Beliche Stream, a tributary of the Guadiana River, and was built between 1981 and 1986. Along with the Odeleite Dam, it supplies water to the eastern Algarve and irrigates about 8600 hectares of fields. The Beliche Circuit (CTM PR2), a 6 km circular hiking trail, starts near the dam.
