Castro Marim Castle

Built in the 13th century by D. Afonso III, its semicircular walls enclose the Old Castle (Castelo Velho), the Church of Nossa Senhora dos Mártires, and a museum nucleus with artifacts ranging from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. It was the seat of the Order of Santiago between 1319 and 1356.
