Church of Santa Maria do Castelo

Built in the mid-13th century on the site of Tavira's former mosque, it was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake by the Italian architect Francisco Xavier Fabri. It houses the tomb of D. Paio Peres Correia and the six knights who died during the city's reconquest.
