It starts right at the mouth of the Guadiana River and stretches for 3 km to Monte Gordo, shaded by the Mata Nacional das Dunas Litorais (National Coastal Dunes Forest). The Caminho dos Três Pauzinhos (Path of the Three Sticks), winding through pine trees fragrant with resin, is the most beautiful route to the beach — and from there, you can already see the Spanish bank on the other side of the river.
