Mother Church of Saint Peter (Faro)

Dating from the late 16th century, it features an altarpiece from the 1680s, one of the earliest examples of Baroque art in the Algarve. In the sacristy, Diogo Teixeira's painting 'Descent from the Cross' is considered the finest example of Mannerist painting in the region.
